WHAT IS NKS FUTURE 2026

A two-city rugby league tournament for tamariki aged 7 to 10, run and led by New Zealand Warriors and Kiwis professional Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad. Built for the next generation of New Zealand sport. No trials. No rankings. No pressure to win. Just a full day of rugby league, a complete NKS kit, and a day these tamariki will never forget.

WHO IT'S FOR

NKS Future 2026 is open to tamariki aged 7 to 10, selected as a school, club, or marae team. Registration is by invite only. Teams are proposed through an open expression of interest process and selected by the NKS events manager. Once selected, team leads register their team, manage travel and logistics, and get their tamariki to the day.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

Every registered child receives a complete NKS Player Kit at no additional cost, including an NKS branded training and playing kit, backpack, drink bottle, socks, and hat, everything they need to be part of the NKS Future 2026 experience.

The day includes scheduled matches across all age groups, food stalls, bouncy castles & family entertainment

REGISTRATIONS BY INVITE ONLY

Once your registration is confirmed, your team will receive a pack containing kit sizing forms, a medical information form per child, and a media consent form. Your playing schedule will follow once all teams are confirmed.

A MESSAGE FROM CHARNZE

This day is for the tamariki.

It is about getting them on a field, in a kit, playing a sport that can be a great vehicle for life. No pressure. No politics. Just rugby league and a day they will remember.

This is just the start. NKS Future is one tournament, in two cities, for tamariki of various age groups.

What I am building goes much further than that. More tournaments, different formats, different regions, different age groups. The goal is simple: to reach as many tamariki across New Zealand as possible, in as many ways as possible, through sport.

We are only just getting started. I hope you are just as excited as i am to see where NKS will take our kids. The Future of NZ sports.

WHAT IS NKS FUTURE 2026

NKS FUTURE 2026 is a one-day rugby league experience held across two cities for tamariki aged 7 to 10, created and led by New Zealand Warriors and Kiwis professional Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad.

Built on the NKS kaupapa of giving every child their time on the field, NKS FUTURE is designed for tamariki who simply love the game. This isn't a tournament built around rankings, representative pathways, or selecting the most experienced players. It's about creating an opportunity for more children to enjoy rugby league in a positive, supportive environment where participation comes first.

Families can register their interest through the NKS Expression of Interest process. The NKS team will carefully review each application and select participants who best align with the values and purpose of the tournament, ensuring every event reflects what NKS stands for.
