NKS Future 2026 is a community rugby league tournament for tamariki aged 7 to 10. It's held in Auckland on 21 November and Christchurch on 28 November. It's run and led by professional athlete Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad. Built specifically to give tamariki sporting opportunities, it's a genuine chance to play, belong, and be part of something big.

No. NKS Future 2026 is not a trial or a competitive selection event. There's no ranking, no cutting players, and no pressure to win. The day is structured around participation and inclusion, not performance.

Registration is $10 per child, paid once to confirm the team's place. Schools, clubs, and Marae's often raise this together, as a class, team, or whole group activity.

Under 7S: 10 Players, Under 8s&9s: 12 Players, Under 10s: 15 Players. Five team spots are available per age group, per city, so spots are limited and allocated on a first-registered basis.

Every registered child receives a complete NKS Player Kit at no additional cost, including an NKS branded training and playing kit, backpack, drink bottle, socks, and hat, everything they need to be part of the NKS Future 2026 experience.

A media consent form is part of registration. If a child cannot be photographed, their teacher or coach fits them with an opt-out wristband before play begins. NKS will never publish an image showing a visible opt-out wristband.

Accompanying teachers and coaches hold supervision and duty of care for their own students throughout the day. NKS event marshals are on-site to manage scheduling and event flow, but do not replace Coach supervision.
